they give off a bright, shimmery light and are just quite sweet!  i've found some similar on amazon > here for you people who want to invest too :-)

creamy caramel.

just thought i would share my creamy caramel candle with the world :-)  it has the nicest aroma of caramel even with the lid on, and when it's not lit!

this candle really lives up to what it says on the tin; you could not match that gorgeous caramel scent much better if you tried!

i've placed this medium jar right next to my vanilla cupcake house-warmer; it really does smell like a bakery in my room!

these two are probably my all-time favourites, and i would definitely recommend giving them a try :-)  & especially on these autumn days where the evenings are drawing in, it nice to have a couple candles lit to add a bit of warmth to the room.

okay, so here are my sisters purchases from the other day.. clearly not just me who is obsessed with new candles and new smells!

we have tea-lights, small jars, wax tarts and samplers here!  she'll have hours of gorgeous-smelling burning with this little lot!

what a load of tarts..

black cherry, vanilla lime, mango peach salsa & honey and spice.  yum.  went a bit crazy with the tart buying as i just couldn't choose between all of these amazing flavours!

i'm currently burning the black cherry tart which smells gorgeous!  if you love rich, strong scents, tarts are perfect!  if you like more subtle smells, however, these might not be for you.

can't wait to burn the rest of these cute, little tarts in my new tart burner!  pictures to come.

NB: these wax tarts are purely wax and don't have wicks, so you need a tart burner before you buy!  good news though - there are loads of pretty ones out there!

i've got a lovely bunch of coconuts.

i've just seen yankee candles have brought out a coconut collection!  this will particularly please my boyfriend as coconut is one of his favorite scents and we haven't been able to find any coconut yankees up until this point!

reed diffusers, tea-lights and large & small tumblers!  these are limited edition so look slightly different from the normal style jars, but look simple, refined and quite fresh.

a particularly scrummy flavor which i just must try is the No5 scent.  this one is a coconut and vanilla bean candle and sounds just divine!  kinda expecting big things from this collection, and i'm sure it will live up to it!

i just love warm, rich-scented candles, and especially love having them in my room, flickering away.  really does give the homely, cosy feel.

let me know if you've tried any of these ones & once i purchase some for myself i will be blogging!

there not a lot to not love about this little candle!  i personally went for the small jar, as i have a feeling a house-warmer may be a little over-powering and a bit too sweet.  the small jar, however, is just right!  

this jar last for around twenty-five to forty hours so this give you a good chance and a good couple evenings of burning for you to make-up your mind on the aroma!

if you love creamy icing, sweet & fruity aromas, this one is perfect! 

NB: if you love the vanilla cupcake candle, this would be a good choice for your next candle purchase! :)

so i tried the red velvet cupcake the other day, not quite as spectacular as i was hoping :( apparently it wasn't as good as those they sell in the US, so naturally i'm going to HAVE to hop on a plane just to try these!  8)  well if needs must..!

here's a quick snap of a couple of my candles this evening!  enough?!  no way ;-)

we've got a baby sicilian lemon, a baby vanilla cupcake & a spiced orange tumbler here, to name a few!

they smell divine and really add a lovely atmosphere to my room.  love.

listening to chelsea williams & lighting my new sicilian lemon candle is the perfect way to chill out on this sunday afternoon, before having to think about the working week ahead.  

listening to chelsea completely takes me back to my road-trip around america and especially the couple days we spent in LA & santa monic, and the candle reminds me of all the cute little shops we visited which all smelt like gorgeous bakery's (mainly because the shops were full of candles - maybe this is where the obsession began?!).

normally you might have thought they would have made this lemon candle unbelievably sweet; this one is surprisingly refreshing though!  makes a change from the heavy, too-sweet lemon aroma's you normally come across!  it also goes perfectly in my room, and is another small jar to add to my collection.  these are the cute ones!

i got this one from clinton's in festival place, basingstoke, however, there are many, many more places to buy these online.  as i've said before, these are cute and make a perfect present and (more importantly ;-) ) a treat to yourself!

if you love sweet things, marshmallows, highly fragranced candles, this one's for you..!

i had been looking out for these candles for ages, ever since my sister had mentioned them, and it turned out they could be found in morrisons and hawkins bazaar (of all places)!  they are cute and do keep their aroma quite well, which is great because it's such a great scent.  

try the bigger version shown below for an even longer lasting candle!  one draw back of the larger jar, however, is that it does get kinda hard to light toward the end (which isn't for ages, but still)!  try investing in some long stemmed matches for full use of the taller addition!

NB: if you like these candles try out the jelly belly car air fresheners; strong & sumptuous!

this is one i got my mum for her birthday back in august.  she absolutely loves strong aromas with hints of cloves and spices, so this was a perfect choice.  her favorite hand massage bar is, for example, this little beauty from lush - wiccy magic muscles massage bar, which actually includes cinnamon leaf oil.

the little jars are such a cute gift as well; just right if you're aiming to purchase a selection of goodies for your friends or loved ones.

the small jar is sat on our landing at the moment and one, fits perfectly with the decor and on our wooden bookshelf and two, smells gorgeous!

now this one is tom's (the other half's) favorite!  i've never tried a red velvet cake, so don't think i quite appreciate this one as much as i should; it is still damn good though!  (definitely need to be getting hold of some of the stuff soon though!)  obviously perfect for red rooms, and being such a strong red this candle really pops out at you!

this little beauty is a small jar and is just one of the cutest shapes i've seen!  literally perfect if you just want a taster of the particular aroma, and you can just imagine lots of these dotted around your room being just adorable!  who needs electric?!

better than cake.

just a quick post about the spiced orange candle i purchased yesterday!  it really lit up my room last night, and lifted the atmosphere with it's zingy aroma, which was just completely brought to life when i lit the candle.

this is my new purchase for the day!  it smells pretty amazing.  i know this is more of a christmassy aroma but hey, i'm just getting ready and prepared (on the candle front anyway) for one of my favorite holidays!

i don't have any yankee tumblers currently, so this purchase was a must!  they are more of a traditional shape for a candle, but smell just as yummy.  it's a blend of ginger and citrus and is extremely zingy - i love!  it's a contrast to the sweeter candles they make, however, just as good.

go for this one if you want a bright and cheery aroma in the autumn/winter time.

NB: it's actually sat right by me as i write this & it's making my nose a very happy place to be!

popped into the new clinton's in reading today and found this.  they've completely re-done the layout and it's gorgeous!  was, however, drawn straight to the below stand... SO cute!  the colors all just match so well, it's a miracle i came out of the store with just one new candle purchase!  (will be posting about my new addition later, so check back! :) ).

i love this more than a fat-kid loves cupcakes.

in complete contrast with the tea-lights below, this is a house warmer.  i love the name in itself.  it really would warm your house with 110 - 150 hours of burning time!

the smell of this candle is u.n.b.e.l.i.e.v.a.b.l.e.  i love the honey & spice, but the vanilla cupcake is by far my favorite.  it was the first yankee i had ever purchased, so kinda sentimental as well, i guess!

this candle gives off the richest, creamiest aroma of vanilla cupcakes and buttery icing.  divine.  you literally want to eat it up.  this candle really is a must.  fits perfectly in my room too with it's creamy color and would in most other rooms as well.

can you really say no to cupcakes in any sense?  i can't!

now i love cutsie things and am just obsessed with tea-lights and tea-light holders.  small & cute.

these tea-lights are not only a gorgeous, warm brown-sugar colour but are also divinely scented.  just can't get enough?  too right.  with a burning time of around four to six hours each, these are perfect for an evening in, snuggling on the sofa - especially in the autum/winter time.

they have a deep, almost hollister scented flavour which makes my room (along with all my other candles) smell like a candy store, full of cinnamon and rich scents including sugarcane, golden nectar and coca.  lovely.
